|Matilda...Tilly....Boo Boo....We LOVE YOU!|
This is just a re-cap of the "re-homing" event of a few weeks ago...or ...no....only one week and a half ago..! Wow...time goes by so slow when you miss someone that you love so much. We've been in contact with Taylor, "Our Tilly's" new mommy. Now her "Tilly"/"Boo Boo" ..and she is very happy. She has been chattering back and forth with Averi, their other African Grey! I am going to try and post some pics and the video she posted today of Tilly talking up a storm this morning at their home.
Tilly also has a new "night time" cage in a bi level cage with Averi on top and her on bottom. They are separate but can hear and talk to each other...This "night" cage is supposed to be in a quiet room so they can get better sleep. This family has 5 dogs so they do need their rest listening to all of that , I'm sure ha ha...But Tilly seems very happy and we are so so very glad for her. I wish we could have somehow made it work, because Amy and I have cried every day that Tilly's been gone. The house is so empty without her talking and chattering. Especially when no one else is home, she kept me company; as I am in pain 24/7 and she was my comfort during the day when everyone was gone. I wanted to keep her so badly. I cannot take care of the huge cage and the huge bird all by myself and Amy tried but with graduate school and 3 jobs it just isn't fair and wasn't fair to Tilly...Thank you for enjoying this re-homing "event" story...I thought you'd like the update! bye for now..see you soon...suzanne
This is "Taylor" and she is the one who came to take "Tilly" to Her house in Indiana! It Was truly "love at first sight"....Tilly Loved her Amy & then she also was infatuated with the other bird, Averi. She felt comfortable because she saw another like herself, I believe...Then she stepped up on Taylor like they'd known each other all of their lives...a very happy new beginning for Matilda...while a bittersweet ending for us....We love you Tilly!!! I think of you every day and so does your first "Mommy/Amy"...She still cries and is sad because she misses you...but she is happy that you are so happy and that you will never be lonely because you also now have "Averi" !!!
"Now Taylor's Tilly...."
